It would be difficult to fulfill our mission without the support of our community volunteers. Our volunteers serve as ambassadors, fundraisers, and additional resources for Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley.
Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley is a diverse organization with many avenues available to help people with disabilities and other needs. These many different avenues create an important need for volunteers. Please look at the descriptions below and discover the opportunities for volunteering that are available.

All Kids Child Development Center
- All Kids Child Development Center, located on Thorpe Drive near the intersection of Shroyer and Wilmington, provides inclusive child care that services children of all abilities with developmentally appropriate programs tailored to meet their individuals needs.
The Auxiliary of Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley
- Dolls & Stuffed Animals: This group cleans, dresses and refurbishes donated dolls and stuffed animals for resale in the Goodwill Retail Stores.
- Jewelry: In addition members sort, repair, and clean donated jewelry.
Easter Seals Adult Day Services at Shiloh House and Sunrise
- Shiloh House, located on Salem Avenue near Trotwood, provides a structured program with the mission to help the senior participants to maintain independence and self-worth and remain in their homes for as long as possible.
- Sunrise, located in Piqua, provides a structured program with the mission to help the senior participants to maintain independence and self-worth and remain in their homes for as long as possible.
Career Center at Elizabeth Place
- Persons with disabilities are often unable to access critical job information over the Internet because they do not have the necessary computer access technology. The Career Center at Elizabeth Place provides state-of-the-art computers and assistive technology to assist persons with disabilities identify job leads, send applications, resumes, and cover letters over the Internet, obtain career development information, and learn about available assistive technology.
General Agency Support
- Opportunities are available to support general activities within the agency such as clerical, sorting, and tutoring.
The Junior Group of Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley
- Vintage Clothing Collection: Volunteers help manage, repair, and catalog the Vintage Clothing collection which has itens dating back to 1840.
- Vintage Clothing Shows: Volunteers help put on Vintage Clothing Shows showcasing items from the Vintage Clothing Collection. Shows are held throughout the Miami Valley
- Carl's Coats For Kids: Volunteers help with the yearly Carl's Coats For Kids
- Other fundraisers to support Goodwill Easter Seals programs
Kids First Boost
- Kids First Boost conducts developmental screenings in preschools, day care centers, and family home care environments for children, birth to five years of age.
Assistive Technology Services
- Assistive Technology Services, located in the Job Center on Edwin C. Moses Blvd., empowers people with developmental or acquired disabilities by providing services using assistive technology.
WORDS Radio Reading Service
- WORDS is a Radio Reading Service that offers readings from over 100 sources including magazines, newspapers, books, and internet articles which are then broadcast to specialized radios owned by individuals who are unable to read for themselves.
